Selectboard members Ethan Carlson and Jo Sabel Courtney, Representative Jed Lipsky, Town Manager Charles Safford, and Assistant Town Manager Will Fricke were in Montpelier on Wednesday, April 8 to provide testimony before the House Committee on Government Operations and Military Affairs regarding H.954.
The bill proposes an amendment to the charter of the Town of Stowe, approved by the voters at Town Meeting 2026, which would authorize 2% local option taxes on sales, rooms, meals, and alcohol.
