Starting on Wednesday, September 2, River Road in Stowe will be closed to thru traffic to facilitate a number of culvert replacements. Crews will begin with the culvert near 80 River Rd and work their way towards Moscow Road over the following two weeks. Please plan accordingly and seek alternate routes.
On June 30, 2026, the Town held an informational meeting covering our water source development investigation at our prospective waterworks site at 743 Barrows Rd. The focus of this meeting was the upcoming testing and related monitoring we are required to perform to prove that our use of the wells as a public water source will not cause unacceptable interference in nearby wells. Some discussion on the site layout and treatment plant building also occurred.
