To provide quality service in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner to the 5,200 residents and thousands of daily visitors of the Ski Capital of the East.

The Stowe Police Department is committed to excellence in law enforcement and dedicated to the people, traditions, and diversity of our town. We work in partnership with the community to preserve and improve the quality of life, making the town a safer, more pleasant place to live, work, and visit.

SPD operates throughout the town’s 79 square miles of village streets, mountain trails, and the popular recreation path, and assists neighboring towns in their law enforcement efforts. As part of our community policing approach, we value open communication with residents, visitors, and neighbors as we strive to keep our community safe.
