Camp Lunch Program

Summer Camp Lunch Program

We are pleased to partner with the LSSU Food Service team to provide nutritious lunches during our summer camp program.

While food is always available to campers, advanced registration is required to ensure we have enough for everyone. Lunches are prepared off-site by the LSSU Food Services team at People’s Academy in Morrisville. Registrations must be submitted by noon the day before to ensure your camper is included on the lunch list.

Parents are asked to pack snacks for their children, as snacks are not included with lunch registration. Please notify the Recreation Office if your child has dietary preferences or restrictions.

Special Notes:

  • For TREC and Friday Field Trips, only sandwich options are available for all camp groups.

  • Due to the nature of the TREC program, sandwich options are the only choice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. If a hot lunch is ordered for these days, it will automatically be substituted with a sandwich of your child’s choice.

Financial Assistance:

Families who qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch should contact Kelli prior to registration. Online registration cannot be completed until the account is flagged as Free/Reduced.

Families who have received an award from the Bunny Libby Scholarship Fund already have accounts marked as Free/Reduced.

Payment Plan and Scholarships

Payment Plans and Scholarships

We know that the cost of camp can be a barrier to accessing great programs. Stowe Parks and Recreation does offer payment plans and scholarships to eligible participants.

Payment Plans:

Payment is required in full at the time of registration for all programs. Payment plans are available for summer camp programs only.

Families may pay in full or select a payment plan at check-out for full camp registration (not applicable to weekly registrations). Credit cards are required to be on file for families using a payment plan.

Payment plans are available until May 21st. After May 21st, payment in full is required. For all payment plans, 25% ($325) would be due at time of registration and the remaining balance is split into 5 payments of $225. The full balance must be paid in full by the third week of the program (July 17th). Failure to make payments may result in the cancellation of your registration.

Non-resident fee is due at initial registration.

Scholarships:

The Bunny Libby Scholarship Fund helps income eligible Stowe residents participate in recreation programs and community activities. Scholarships are awarded to Stowe residents on a first-come, first-serve basis for youth and adult programs in accordance with program availability, participant eligibility and available funds.

Scholarship Application Form

To apply, a Scholarship Application must be submitted for each participant and each program prior to the program registration deadline. Your spot cannot be held until all required documentation for the Scholarship application is submitted.

Scholarship Applications can be emailed to recreation@stowevt.gov or sent to: Stowe Parks & Recreation, Attn: Kelli Millick, PO Box 730, Stowe VT 05672.

Parent Testimonials

Parent Testimonials

“The engaging activities on a daily basis were great. My kids loved that they had choices. Their favorite was skating!”

“Kids loved the different choices for activities which allowed for both physical activity if they wanted or calmer activities like crafts and projects.”

“My son has been coming to Rec since he was old enough to attend and hasn’t missed a summer. It’s a safe and fun way for him to spend his summer and has allowed us to hold on to a little innocence (for as long as we can!). I just wanted to thank you and your staff for doing a fabulous job. This program is Stowe’s best-kept secret. It’s the perfect way to enjoy Summer in Stowe for any child.”

“Amazing counselors. Creative and fun. Great website - easy to register. Very well organized.”

“My son had a wonderful experience with the Explorer Cubs this year. He had nothing but great things to say about all the counselors, and we were really impressed by the staff every day at drop off and pickup. We are really happy and grateful our son got to have this experience this summer. It was more important than ever!"
